The drive to his hometown was long. Chris was tired, but he looked forward to seeing his parents. When he saw them waving, he couldn’t help but smile. “It’s good to see you two again,” Chris said to his mother and father. He dropped off his bag and went to his favorite place. The theater. He walked through the entrance, went to the counter, and asked, “what is playing tonight? Nevermind, I’ll just take a ticket.” Chris wanted to be surprised. He took a seat and was shocked to see that it was his play! He looked around saw Jane and Michael. There they were. He smiled, properly this time.
That night, Chris felt that he was not alone. He called Angie back and said, “Angie, I’ll be here for a while.”
